Wenona School
Wenona, an all-girls private school located in North Sydney, selected Team2 Architects for the design and development of a new education building at their North Sydney campus.
The project brief was for the design and construction of a new 4 storey modular building accommodating 14 state of the art flexible classrooms, student bathroom facilities, two fire stairs, a lift and a staffroom as well as external amenity and cola spaces. The building is entirely modular in construction all completely built and assembled off site in Modscape's warehouse.
After a 12-week construction programme, the completed building is broken down into its modules and transported to site to be re-assembled. Craning of all 20 modules into their final positions took place over one weekend to provide North Sydney with a spectacular, permanent, modular school extension with outstanding design practice, and in compliance with the State Environmental Planning Policy (Educational Establishments and Child Care Facilities) 2017.
