Mitcham Private Hospital
Team2 was engaged by Ramsay Health Care for the design and delivery of the Mitcham Private Hospital. The project included a new operating theatre, refurbished surgical unit, recovery Stages 1 and 2 and a departure lounge, a 21 bed mental health unit and new patient facilities including a gym, dining and group rooms.
The works included both new-build expansion and internal refurbishment on a tight inner city site. Refurbishment works took place in a live environment, with surgical operations continuing throughout the construction phase. A modular procurement was investigated and implemented for the expansion works to minimise site disruption.
