Flemington Market Cookery School

Partnering with builders Parkview, Team2 was appointed by Sydney Markets to produce designs for a new cookery school at their Flemington site.

The brief called for a sustainability-led design and Team2’s response was to incorporate the use of locally sourced recycled materials, utilise a passive design approach and include rainwater harvesting and roof mounted photovoltaics. The design was set out in such a way as to allow the client to select between traditional, modular or timber (glulam / cross laminated timber) construction methodologies for the building's execution.
