Boutique Seniors Living – Sydney Eastern Suburbs

Team2 was invited to participate in a limited design competition for a new seniors living and aged care development in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The schematic design explores a contemporary model of senior living that integrates independent living and residential care within a boutique, community-focused environment that supports ageing with dignity and comfort.

The proposal imagines a seamless relationship between retirement living and aged care, supported by thoughtfully curated amenities that promote wellbeing, social connection, and a refined everyday lifestyle. Envisioned as more than simply a place to live, the development creates a holistic setting where architecture, interiors, and landscape design work together to enrich the daily experience of residents.

At the heart of the concept is a series of interconnected landscape spaces across multiple levels, dissolving boundaries between the built form and nature. These gardens offer accessibility, calm, and visual connection, creating restorative environments that support health and wellbeing.

The architectural character is timeless, warm, and sophisticated, expressing a commitment to excellence in design, care, and community.
