Westmead Children's Hospital, New Staff Hub

Team2 were appointed to design new administration spaces within the Westmead Children's Hospital incorporating a variety of flexible workspaces to be occupied by Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation (SCHF) and some Sydney Children's Hospital Network (SCHN) departments.

The single floor office provides approximately 35 formal workstations utilising activity based working philosophy, and a further range of collaboration zones, formal meeting areas, focus booths and creative spaces. A centrally located staff breakout / kitchen area provides spacious lunch facilities and opens out to the central outdoor courtyard, offering external dining and socialising space. 

Further workplace settings are provided in individual phone booths, shared chat booths, brainstorming rooms and ‘cockpits’. Storage lockers are located throughout the space and a large storage room and staff amenities are also provided.
