Modular Isolation Unit Roll Out
Team2 Architects collaborated with Monash Casey, Northern Health, and Werribee Mercy Hospitals in a joint venture for the expansion of their ED departments.
These partnerships involved the design and construction of modular isolation units, ranging from 12 to 24 beds, with varying sizes of approximately 500m² to 1200m². The units were equipped with N-Class/Resuscitation rooms, ED N-flow rooms, WC facilities, shared showers, and all necessary clinical support and staff spaces. The design incorporated flexibility for future adaptive reuse, allowing for different configurations.
Impressively, the projects were completed within 6 to 8 months, including the design, build, and delivery phases.
