EVT 4DX & IMAX CINEMAS

Team2 Architects were engaged by EVT to document the transformation of standard cinemas at Castle Hill and Innaloo into cutting-edge 4DX cinemas, and Pacific Fair into a state-of-the-art IMAX cinema. This engagement spanned all phases, from Conceptual Design to Construction and Site Services.

Key responsibilities included coordinating specialist services to accommodate features such as a much larger screen, a state-of-the-art porthole for the advanced projector, and custom platform designs for luxury recliners. These designs required in-depth sightline studies to ensure every chair provided an uninterrupted view.

All work was drafted and coordinated in a 3D environment using Revit for modeling and Enscape for real-time walkthroughs during coordination sessions. With extremely tight tolerances in the limited cinema spaces, clash detection was paramount, and sightline studies were critical to adapt the existing curved platform structures.
