Canterbury Private Hospital
Team2 has been engaged by HPG as the lead architect for a new private hospital incorporating medical and surgical wards, an emergency department, 10 operating theatres, 180 inpatient beds, allied health services, and consulting suites.
Located 700 meters from the nearest public hospital, the building serves as a prominent marker point for the area and as a gateway building to the new Campsie medical precinct. A narrow floorplate promotes spatial efficiency, with the width determined by the spaces required within (theatres, ward rooms, etc.).
Double-storey sky gardens promote biophilic healing and allow natural light to penetrate throughout the floor plates.
