31/5/23 Campbelltown Sub-Acute Mental Health
We are thrilled to share our latest CGI image for the Campbelltown sub-acute Mental Health facility, located just across the road from the Campbelltown Comprehensive Cancer Centre for GenesisCare (the latter due for completion in early 2024).
The new, carefully crafted facility contains 90 light filled, resort style inpatient rooms; generous outdoor terraces and communal areas, and a designated Day Programme; and demonstrates the practice’s evolution of this specialised building typology in terms of best practice patient care, and architectural excellence.
The Team2 design solution employs a rigorous yet complex interplay of forms and materials, broken up by large scale glazed interventions corresponding to the public spaces dispersed across the building. The materiality of masonry, reconstituted timber and high performance glazing has been carefully considered for its durability, warmth and ease of maintenance.
