North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club
Team2 are delighted to be partnering with Sutherland Shire Council, North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club, Global Projects and Lahey Constructions as Executive Architects for the delivery of the new and upgraded North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club, located at the beachfront at North Cronulla in Dunningham Park.
The proposals include the replacement of the southern building in its entirety providing new public amenities, café and generous club storage at the ground floor with new dining and nippers facilities above. The new extension connects into the restored heritage-listed northern building which provides upgraded club facilities including gymnasium, locker rooms and administration offices at the ground floor, the refurbished ‘Harry Brown OAM’ Function Room above and a top floor ‘Harold Judd’ Function Room and Bar with new external terraces overlooking the stunning beach.
Originally designed by Bergstrom Architects, ‘Project Phoenix’ is progressing well on site and is due for completion in early 2024. The board-formed off form concrete facades look stunning with their woodgrain effect, and the steel frame is currently underway. We look forward to seeing the completed project very soon which no doubt will be a magnificent community facility.
